Sentosa Real Run 2006
This is my 1st time running 10k & I was feeling pretty nervous. I decided to sleep "very early" so that I can wake up to have a light breakfast. Sigh....given a choice, I would rather sleep longer than eat; & I've the habit of not eating in the morning. So I did some channel surfing, finally slept around 12am, woke up at 0430. Had a slice of bread, milo & a big banana. Gave Chris morning call at 0500 & called him again at 0600 to make sure he didn't oversleep...took the first train with Aram & we met WJ at Jurong E.....hopefully my banana will last me until the run is over....
When we reached Harbourfront MRT, there was a hugh swarm of people there. But none of them were the ones we're supposed to meet. Just when I'm finally early, everyone else is late....Chris came then Karen & finally Bambi. There was a long (long, long) queue for the shuttle bus, so we ended up walking to Sentosa.
Tekko was caught in a mega jam & he didnt take part at all. Poor guy. He was so looking forward in running the Real Run before his op. While we were waiting for Chris to come back from his toilet break, we did some stretching. We ran with the 2nd group while Karen joined the
first. We lost Chris after about 3-4k. After we finished the sand part at 6k, Chris caught up with us. Good thing we were not bitching about him :p
Completed my 1st 10k run in 79 minutes. The feeling of completing a race feels great! Cheers to that great run, & many many more to come!

FESTIVAL OF PRIASE 2006
Went to the FOP yesterday night. Heard that Don Moen & Ed Silvoso was in town for the FOP, so I dragged myself to the SIS. FOP started with the band from Christian City Church, & I thought they were pretty good. Sounded like Delirious? though....

After a period of "physical high", I thought I was gonig deaf. Then Don Moen came on with his soothing voice & music. aah.....there's only one way to describe Don. "What you hear is what you get". I mean, he sounded exactly like him playing on CD! I mean, with the high tech equipments nowadays, I get the feeling that our modern day artists do not really put effort into their performance.

Don was great. He brought out old time classics like "God will make a way", I just wanna be where You are"... Great worship leader, & he can play the piano, sing & do a short prelude on his violin almost at the same time! coool...
What got me all pumped up last night was hearing that my favourite band Delirious? will be coming to Singapore in August 2007. I can hardly wait! I think I need to block out that 3 days in August 2007 now....
