Singapore - Kuching - Damai Beach

Met Christine, Elvira & GC at the airport. Checked into Msia airlines. Didn't have breakfast & the food sucked on said plane. Once we've reach Kuching, Christine brought us to have the all-time famous "kolo mee". It tastes so good, I finished everything in the bowl. Guess what.....i then found out that the secret is in the sauce. They made it with pork lard...man, i started feeling quesy...

Went to Damai Beach in a transport provided by Holiday Inn. Only E, GC & I went. Christine stayed with her family in Kuching city. Reached Damai Beach in the evening. The room was great! Big & spacious, & we've got an adjourning room next to GC. After a fresh change of clothes, we made our way to the lobby & looked for dinner. GC was itching for a massage, but we opted for makan 1st. Holiday Inn Resort made transport arrangements & sent us to the local seafood place. Price is reasonable & food is so-so. I regretted going in my shorts; ended up as food for the mosqitoes. My 2 other comrades suffered the same fate...We took time for a slow walk back to the resort. GC & E wanted to seize the day & watch sunrise tomorrow am. sigh...gotta wake up by 5am...Was looking forward to a nice hot bath, my iPod & to sleep like a log....

Damai Beach - Kuching

Woke up at 6 am. Drats.
To my great disappointment, there was no sun to watch. The haze was so bad, I couldnt even see the beach at all! Sigh....wasted my beauty sleep for nothing...
Breakfast isn't ready until 7. GC wants to go massage, but they dont open till 10. We took a reallly slow walk down the beach & went for a long breakfast. We walked the whole island hunting for a massage centre, but none was available. GC decided to swim while waiting for his massage. While the 2 was swimming & soaking, I hid in the shade & read....
When GC finally got his massage (according to him, it was unsatifactory & short) at 1145, I went back to my room for another round of snoozing. Left Damai Beach & head back to Kuching City...

Had a meeting with Judith after we checked into the service apartment. Lunch was a simple affair; kolo mee with pork lard & 2 cups of coffee...After the long meeting, Judith indulged us by bringing us to a foot reflex centre. GC was grinning from ear to ear.....
Everyone enjoyed their massage except me. I was ready to scream from the beginning to the end. Was pretty certain that my f eet will break & then i cannot run anymore. After the torture, Judith brought us to eat crab. Dinner was great, & dessert was fabulous! We went to a nice dessert place & ordered 4 different types of cakes. Yum...

Kuching - Singapore
Judith promised us a nice local breakfast before we depart today, so we woke up pretty early. Went to a neighbourhood kopitiam & had coffee, kaya toasts, sarawak laska, kolo mee (again), bak chang....I seemed to develop a taste for the kolo mee....i really need to run off all the calories.....
Haze is still pretty bad. I cant even see the next building clearly.
After all the calories loading, we head off to meet with a doctor recommended by Judith. He's a real character....kind of eccentric & weird, to be more precise. Anyways, meeting turned out pretty good although he really is pretty weird. Judith sent us off to the airport & I cant wait to get home again.

Although the kolo mee was nice, I still miss Singapore.....
